Violin and Viola Lessons
Welcome to my teaching studio!
I teach the violin and viola to students of any skill level and of all ages from 9 to 100 years old. A free trial lesson is welcome to anyone!
My Story
I began learning the violin at 9 years old in the Oakland Public Schools. I realized at a very young age that playing the violin was what I wanted to do in life and have never put it down. My parents took me to hear all the violin soloists who were playing with the San Francisco or Oakland Symphonys', and I heard the greatest violinists of the time.
I studied violin performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and violin and viola performance at the Nordwestdeutsch Music Academy in Detmord, Germany. My teachers on violin include the great Hungarian violinist, Tibor Varga. My teachers on viola were Rainer Moog, then Principal Viola of the Berlin Philharmonic, and the great Italian violist, Bruno Giuranna.
I have played, recorded, and traveled the world with some of the world's finest Symphony Orchestras', including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich, Germany, making my childhood dreams come true.
Learning the violin takes practice, diligence, patience, and a love for making music. There can be no better reward than to play the violin, and I dedicate myself to helping young students realize their dreams.
