My Story
I studied string instrument setup and repair and bow re-hairing and repair at the Violin Craftsmanship Institute at the University of New Hampshire. My teachers included the best violin and bow makers in the world.
Teachers on string instrument repair included Francis Morris and Paul Wiessmeyer, who both studied violin making in Mittenwald, Germany. Both worked at the Hans Weisshaar shop in Los Angeles before opening their own respective businesses.
My teachers on bow rehairing and repair were Lynn Hannings and George Rubino. Both studied bow making in Paris, France, with Bernard Millant and worked at the Wurlitzer and William Salchow shops before becoming indepedant bow makers.
